Prainha is a beach break near Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro City that works across all tide levels. The break features a sand and rock bottom with intermediate difficulty, responding best to southern swell and northwest wind. Watch for rip currents, localism, and buoys; the spot also hosts the LayBack Pro Prainha WSL Qualifying Series.
