Pontal is a sand beach break near Itacaré offering intermediate-level waves from easterly swell, with both left and right-hand breaks available. Conditions are best on westerly winds during low to mid tide. Strong rip currents and forceful cross currents are present, with a difficult and dangerous shore break entry and exit.
