More about Chicama
Chicama is a long left-hand wave at Puerto Malabrigo, also called Puerto Chicama, in Ascope province on Peru's La Libertad coast. Surfline describes a sand point divided into several sections, with surfers returning on foot after riding down the coastline. A maritime-authority resolution dated 18 February 2016 and published on 7 April approved protection for a specifically bounded aquatic area named Rompiente de Chicama. The order names the national surfing federation, FENTA, in whose favor that protection was approved.
