2x4

The 2x4 is Stretch's high-performance control design for small to medium surf. It draws on the everyday versatility of the Fletcher Four-fin, with a bottom contour that runs from a single concave into double concaves toward the tail. Stretch associates that tail design with faster changes from one rail to the other. A slightly pugged nose adds area forward, intended to support paddling and stability.

The maker offers a five-fin convertible configuration and an optional Sk8 deck. Stretch recommends riding the design shorter than a surfer's usual everyday shortboard; this is relative sizing guidance, with the individual board's dimensions and configuration chosen separately.
