History
Lost Surfboards was founded by Matt "Mayhem" Biolos and school friends in 1985, initially as a clothing brand before pivoting to surfboard shaping in 1987. The company is renowned for the Round Nose Fish (RNF), which became the world's best-selling fish surfboard model. Biolos pioneered the design principle that "short and wide equals more speed" a decade before this approach became mainstream in the industry. The brand currently operates from the Gold Coast, Australia.
