Moraga

The Moraga is Hess Surfboards' mid-length design for paddling power, glide and maneuverability. Its two tail options have different characters in the maker's description: the round tail is presented as a carving speed egg, while the deep swallow is intended to loosen the board and give it the feel of a larger fish. A vee panel and double concave through the fin area form the listed bottom design. Hess presents the model across a seven-to-nine-foot length range with several fin options, including single-fin, 2+1 and multi-fin arrangements. Those alternatives let the same model take different forms; the round-tail and swallow-tail handling descriptions apply to their respective builds.
