Tullan Strand
North West, Ireland
Tullan Strand is an open sandy beach beside Bundoran in County Donegal, stretching roughly two kilometres toward the Erne Estuary. Dunes back the strand, with the Dartry Mountains forming a backdrop inland. Donegal County Council's Film Office describes its surf as an exposed beach break. The broad stretch of sand distinguishes it from Bundoran's separate Main Beach in the town. Fáilte Ireland's visitor listing promotes an intermediate lesson with a nearby surf school and explicitly warns that the beach is not safe for swimming.

White Rocks near Portrush is a beach break featuring sand and rock bottom. It works on NW swell and south wind at all tide levels, but watch for rip currents, rocks exposed at the eastern end at low tide, and peak-time crowds.
