Cloud 9 is a right-hand wave at General Luna on Siargao Island in the Philippines. A reef shelf creates an abrupt takeoff and hollow walls, while the way a ride ends changes with swell direction: an opening toward the channel on some waves, a closing section on others. Surfline's guide favors typhoon swell and a high tide, and highlights easterly swell with southwest offshore wind as a clean setup.
