Shibagaki is a sand-bottom surf spot on the West Coast near Hakui. The break responds best to westerly and northwesterly swell with easterly to southeasterly winds. Rocky reef formations near Nagatejima island, the absence of lifeguard coverage, and narrow residential access roads to the beach are notable considerations.
