Saltburn is a sandy beach break near Saltburn-by-the-Sea that responds best to north-northeast swell in mid-tide conditions with southwest winds. The Saltburn Open competition is held here. Watch for rip currents in heavy surf, water quality issues, and dangerous rocks and cliffs near Skinningrove and Redcar at low tide.
