More about Punta Sta Rosalillita

Punta Santa Rosalillita, known locally as The Wall, is a reef point break where waves peel for extended stretches along uneven rocky bottom, typically running for 200 meters or more when swell is adequate. The break works best during winter swell events arriving from the west and northwest, with January seeing the most consistent conditions. Intermediate to advanced surfers get the most from this wave, which ranges from 2 to 8 feet and features multiple takeoff points across the bay.

The village of Santa Rosalillita sits along Baja California's Pacific coast roughly midway down the peninsula, part of a series of right-breaking points called the Seven Sisters. Access is straightforward: a well-maintained paved road branches 0.9 miles from Highway 1, leading directly to the beach where surfers can camp on the foreshore among the fishing boats that anchor there year-round. Allow at least two days of driving time if coming from the El Rosario area to the north.
