More about Punta San Antonio
Punta San Antonio is a rocky point and reef break with both left and right-hand waves that responds best to southwest or west-southwest swell combined with easterly wind. Summer offers the most consistent conditions, particularly July, when groundswells are more frequent than windswells. The spot rarely gets crowded and requires a solid swell to generate rideable waves.
Access to Punta San Antonio is genuinely restricted—approximately ten or more miles of rough dirt road separate it from the main highway (Mexico 1), and a four-wheel-drive vehicle is mandatory. The isolated location demands self-sufficiency from surfers attempting the journey. Rocks present the primary hazard both in the water and on approach to the break.
I could not find documented information about the surf history of this spot, how long it has been surfed, or any notable sessions, competitions, or surfers specifically associated with Punta San Antonio.
