More about Primo Tapia

Primo Tapia is a reef break producing both left and right waves, best suited for beginners and longboarders. Typical wave heights range around 2-3 feet, with the cleanest conditions arriving on west swells paired with northeast offshore winds. Winter and autumn deliver the most consistent waves, with January being the strongest month. Tidal changes have little effect on the break's quality.

The reef and rocky bottom require booties for foot protection, and sea urchins present a persistent hazard. Shallow rocky sections demand careful water entry and exit.

Public parking areas near the beach charge approximately 50 pesos for all-day vehicle access. The spot lies between Ensenada and Rosarito in Northern Baja. Some portions of the beach are held as private claims, which can affect parking and entry routes depending on the season or local conditions.
