Pine Trees is an intermediate reef break near Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island, working best on NW swell and easterly winds at mid tide. The reef bottom produces waves in both directions but demands respect for shallow coral, urchins, rocks, and strong rips. Local crowds are typical at this break.
