More about Nahr brahim

Nahr Brahim is a river mouth break that produces fast, peaky waves breaking in both directions over sand. The break responds to west-southwest swell paired with easterly winds and works productively across all tidal stages. Autumn and winter bring the most consistent wave activity to the area.

Lebanese surfing experienced a modern revival in the late 1980s and early 1990s after being disrupted by the civil war. The country's contemporary surf culture is centered around the Batroun area further north, though Nahr Brahim remains part of a developing wave-riding community in the region. Access to the break is straightforward, situated about 47 kilometers north of Beirut near Jbail with available parking and easy approach from the coastal highway.
