More about Mini Capo

Mini Capo is a reef break that forms both left and right-hand waves over a rocky bottom. The spot is exposed and inconsistent, firing mainly in winter when southwest swells coincide with northerly offshore winds that clean up the face. At all tidal stages the reef can produce rideable waves, though the break rarely reaches workable size and shape. The reef itself is unforgiving with technical entry and exit points, strong currents rip through the zone, and the rocky structure creates genuine hazard when you fall. A fairly active local crew uses the spot regularly, and localism and occasional crowding are present.

Access is via the coastal road toward Putzu Idu, then turning inland to Mandriola. The nearest significant airport is Alghero, about 70 kilometers away. Nearby breaks including Capo Mannu and a handful of other exposed reef and sandy-bottom alternatives provide backup options when Mini Capo is flat or blown out.

I found limited specific historical documentation about when Mini Capo entered the regional surfing culture or any documented competitions held there. The spot has an active local session community visible in surf footage and online, but no widely recorded surf history or notable surfers specifically tied to it in available sources.
