More about Millers Landing

Millers Landing is a long, rocky point break with a right-hand wave orientation. It sits close to the sand dunes near the El Tomatal fish camp and is accessible via a short drive off Highway 1. Winter provides the most consistent conditions, particularly from strong west to northwest swell, with eastward offshore wind. The bottom is rocky and the break generates long point rides. Hazards include rock outcroppings, rip currents, and sharks.

The broader Santa Rosalita area—known as the Seven Sisters, which includes both Millers Landing and Punta Rosarito (located 13km to the south)—was part of early Baja surf exploration by organized trips such as the 1971 San Onofre Surfing Club expedition. Punta Rosarito, also called "The Wall," has gained a reputation for size and power and is regarded as one of Central Baja's most sought-after breaks. Beyond these documented early trips, specific surfing history, notable sessions, or competitions at Millers Landing are not well documented in publicly available sources.
