More about Milagro

Milagro is a fast left point break that peels off a sandbar formation built against a sharp, L-shaped rocky point. The wave produces long, sectiony rides that hold together through multiple sections when conditions align, working best in the morning when winds are calm or blowing offshore. It requires intermediate to advanced technique to read the changing shape through its sections.

The break responds primarily to southerly and southwesterly swell directions. Peak season runs April through October, when both southern hemisphere swell systems and tropical storm energy reach the area, generating consistent waves. Outside this period, November through March offers smaller, cleaner waves with dry winds but fewer swell windows.

Milagro is accessed through Cardon Adventure Resort, located roughly an hour north of Mazatlan in the San Miguel area. The resort's 16-surfer maximum policy keeps crowds minimal, making it an intentionally exclusive break catering mostly to resort guests and occasional traveling surfers.
