More about Kings Rock
Kings Rock is a left reef break requiring intermediate skill, best approached at high or mid tide when the reef is less exposed. It works year-round but is most consistent and sizeable during the European winter, particularly February. The break picks up southwest, west, and northwest swell, with an offshore east-northeast wind creating the cleanest conditions. Water temperature hovers around 13°C, requiring a thick wetsuit. The break attracts few crowds and produces typically hollow, peeling waves in the 2–6 foot range on good days.
