Joss Bay is a sandy surf beach north of Broadstairs, backed by chalk cliffs and reached from the car park above. It can produce left and right waves with northerly swell and westerly offshore wind, often around mid tide. A beach surf school offers equipment. Check the tide before walking along the shore because both ends of the bay are cut off at high water.
