More about Hanuman point

Hanuman Point is a right-hand reef break with a shallow reef bottom and rocks near the takeoff that make the paddle out challenging. Waves are typically fat and mushier, though occasional sets have hollow sections and can run for around 20 seconds. The break works best when southern swell combines with northwest offshore winds; October typically offers the most consistent conditions, though roughly half of the days that month are still blown out.

Tenneti Park, where this break is situated, is located on Beach Road about 10 kilometers south of Visakhapatnam city, on a clifftop overlooking the Bay of Bengal with distinctive red laterite formations above the water. Access is straightforward via the main coastal road; a taxi or auto from Visakhapatnam railway station or airport takes 15–20 minutes. The break remains uncrowded even when waves are working.
