More about Glen Beach
Glen Beach features a fast, hollow right-hand break that lights up with cross-shore wind from the east and a southwest swell. The bank works best during autumn, particularly April. Waves typically range from waist-high to double overhead depending on swell energy, favoring intermediate to advanced riders who can handle the power and speed. Low tide produces better shape and shape than high tide or mid-tide states.
Glen Beach is located on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula, immediately north of Camps Bay, separated by a rocky outcrop that partially submerges during summer. The break sits below cliffsides and offers views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range. It holds a white sand beach and generally remains less crowded than the more famous adjacent Camps Bay, though conditions do draw sufficient numbers to notice.
