Glass Beach is a beginner-friendly beach break that forms A-frame peaks breaking in both directions. The best swell windows are January, February, and October. The shoreline is indeed rocky and uneven, with glass-worn pebbles and stone, making it uncomfortable for barefoot access and a consideration for paddling out.

Access to the beach is via West Elm Street in Fort Bragg along a paved section of the Noyo Headlands Coastal Trail, with free parking available near the trailhead.
