George's

George's is a sandy beach break with multiple peaks offering both left and right-handing waves, located between Seaside Reef to the south and Cardiff Reef to the north. The break suits intermediate surfers best, though smaller waves attract all levels. As swell size increases, the faster, punchier waves demand more experience. Hazards and crowd levels are minimal compared to nearby peaks. Best conditions arrive during autumn, when west-northwest and southwest swells combine with offshore easterly winds and lower tides to shape the most consistent, rideable shape. Winter storm activity also brings longer-period Pacific swells, though these remain secondary to the autumn pattern.
