Gap Beach is a sand-bottom beach break near South West Rocks offering waves in both directions, suitable for advanced surfers. Access is 4WD-only and the beach is unpatrolled. Strong rip currents—including inner and outer bar rips, permanent rips against headlands, and a mega rip under high waves—pose significant hazards.
