Gansey is a sandy beach break on the Isle of Man where the shoreline is backed by rocks and a sea wall. The beach produces left and right handers, works best with south-southwest swell combined with northerly offshore winds, and offers its most consistent waves during winter and spring. The break is quite exposed and inconsistent overall, attracting relatively few surfers even during good conditions.

The beach transforms dramatically with the tide—at high tide, most of the sandy area disappears beneath water, leaving mainly rocks exposed, which creates hazardous conditions near the sea wall. Low water is the better state for water sports activity. Water temperature is extremely cold, typically around 8 degrees Celsius, requiring substantial neoprene year-round.

Access is straightforward with limited parking available on nearby roads and a slipway at one end of the beach, where there's also a pub and hotel. Port Erin, about two kilometers away, has additional facilities including shops, a promenade, and free parking. The spot is dog-friendly and a small surf and windsurf shop operates in the area for local support.
