East Devonport Beach faces north beside the Mersey River entrance in Tasmania. Beachsafe identifies it as beach T1140 and describes roughly 400 metres of shore between the river training wall and a sand-and-cobble foreland tied to a low reef. The sandy high-tide beach is fronted by a broad terrace exposed at low tide, with rock flats at the eastern end. A reserve backs the beach, and a caravan park lies behind its western half. Devonport City Council lists access from Melrose Street.
