More about Cuttagee Beach

Cuttagee Beach lies beside Cuttagee Lake, about eight kilometres south of Bermagui on the New South Wales coast. The ocean beach extends roughly 900 metres from the lake entrance to the rocky base of Barragga Point. NSW's visitor guide identifies surfing among its activities and describes the lake separately from the open beach.

Surf Life Saving Australia's Beachsafe profile describes an attached sandbar interrupted by rip channels, including channels against the headlands. It also notes some shelter from the dominant southeast waves, with wave heights generally decreasing toward the southern end. These are features of the beach's broader setting, rather than a description of a single fixed surf peak.
