More about Cave Beach

Cave Beach is a right-hand point break on the outer edge of Booderee National Park at Jervis Bay, more exposed to ocean swell than the protected inner-bay beaches. The break produces soft rolling waves over sand and rock, making it consistently approachable for learners; it's strongest with south to southeast swell and northeast wind, with best conditions typically during winter months. Watch for rocks along the point, rip currents in the bay, and significant tide changes that affect both wave shape and cave access.

Access requires a 300-metre walk-in from the car park through Booderee National Park; this is tent camping only with cold showers, fresh water, and basic facilities. The spot draws both surfers and families, and sits in an area frequented by local wildlife including kangaroos and snakes.
