More about Casas
Quatro Casas is a right-hand reef and semi-pointbreak with a rock and sand bottom that breaks for roughly 100 meters. The wave is playful and not particularly hollow, working well for a range of skill levels, though it's popular among intermediate and advanced surfers. Low to medium tides are ideal, and the break is notably sheltered by a coastal bluff and kelp beds that keep the water glassy.
The spot has been surfed since at least the 1960s and remains a favorite for Southern California longboarders and campers, known as one of the most consistent and popular right-handers in northern Baja. The sheltered setting and reliable wave shape have made it a regular destination on classic Baja road trips.
Access is via a marked route from Highway 1 with beachside camping and a small hostel overlooking the beach, keeping crowds moderate despite the wave's quality.
