More about Blackfellows Point

Blackfellows Point breaks both left and right as a point break heavily dependent on sand build-up along the formation. When conditions align, the wave can produce long rides and occasional barrels near the rocky outcrops, though it only breaks well during occasional swells. The break is workable across all tidal stages and responds best to southeast groundswells combined with southwest winds, which provide offshore conditions to clean up the shape.

Winter months bring the most consistent opportunities, particularly June, when the spot holds clean, rideable waves about half the time; summer tends toward flatness. The location is exposed and rarely experiences crowds.
