More about Beachbreak
Beachbreak is an exposed sandy beach break producing both left and right waves in response to southwest swells and northeast offshore winds. The break functions across all tide stages and maintains reasonably consistent conditions year-round, with December typically offering the most reliable windless waves (clean about 48% of the time). The waves work well for surfers progressing beyond the beginner stage, though the sandbar dynamics mean quality and shape vary considerably.
Beachbreak remains relatively uncrowded and part of a low-key wintering community in the Conejo area. The sandy bottom and absence of the sharp rocks found elsewhere in Baja Sur make it more forgiving than many regional breaks.
Access is straightforward from La Paz, which is approximately 40–50 km away via General Manuel Márquez de León International Airport. The beach presents a laid-back atmosphere with informal camping and minimal development, typical of Baja's outer coast.
