More about Badesi

Badesi is a beach break on exposed coastline in northern Sardinia that produces consistent left and right-hand waves. It handles groundswell from the northwest most reliably, though local windswells also contribute. Waves work at all tide stages and typically range between 6 to 8 feet, occasionally building larger. The break suits all skill levels and tends to stay uncrowded. Wave hazards include rips and rock outcrops. Summer brings mostly flat conditions; the reliable season runs from autumn through spring.

Nearby La Marinedda beach, just along the coast, hosts the Marinedda Surf Open, a competitive event that grew from a promotional gathering in 2004 into a recognized national fixture. European-level surfers including two-time European champion Eric Rebiere have competed in this event. However, I found no direct evidence of Badesi itself hosting major competitions or a deep historical surfing culture specific to this beach.

Located roughly 38 kilometers south of Sassari, Badesi is accessible as part of the northern Sardinian coastline and sits among several nearby breaks that draw both surfers and windsurfers to the region.
