Axim

Axim features both reef and beach breaks that produce right and left-hand waves over a bottom of sharp coral and rocks. Southwest swells paired with northeast winds create the best conditions, which most reliably occur during the winter season—particularly in December. The break generates rideable waves around two meters in favorable conditions.

Axim is a coastal town in western Ghana, located roughly 65 kilometers from the regional city of Sekondi-Takoradi and accessible by the main coastal road. The area experiences tidal flooding during high tide, which can affect road access, so timing travel accordingly is worth considering.
