About Zippi Fish Surfboards

Michael spent decades in Hermosa Beach refining the classic fish when most of the industry moved on to thrusters. His shapes earned a reputation from Southern California beach breaks to Hawaii, Fiji, and Indonesia. Today, we honor that work by preserving his best-performing designs through precision Shape3D scanning and CNC shaping, then hand-finishing and glassing every board for the feel surfers expect from a Zippi. Every board starts with Michael's original curves — digitally captured and replicated with care — then shaped on high-end CNC equipment and finished by skilled craftsmen. Each keel twin fin ships with custom-designed fins (glass-on or precision 3D-cut travel fins) so the board performs exactly as intended.
