Wayne Rich Surfboards

Wayne Rich is a California surfboard shaper born in Hermosa Beach and trained by Dan Bendiksen at Bing Surfboards beginning in 1967. He was the lead shaper at Jacobs Surfboards for 14 years in the 1980s-90s, then relocated to Santa Barbara where he shaped alongside Renny Yater. Rich is known for progressive designs informed by classic mid-century shapers (Brewer, Yater, López), with emphasis on quality craftsmanship across multiple fin configurations and board types.
