About

Born of our fX fish design. We took the the fX as the basis for this new model and changed it up a bit to add some 'new' spice and flare. Design enhancements include an updated foil, outline, and contours. The slight 'beak' nose was taken out of the design for a more foiled nose with less 'swing weight', and that ‘shortboard’ look. The nose was narrowed up and the tail shape was changed to a slight hip squash, keeping more surface area in the tail and making it possible to really get back on the tail for critical maneuvers. A touch more vee and double concaves were also added in the tail area as well as a super thinned out rail from the front fins out the tail. f/X+C :: 5’8” x 21” x 2 5/8” at a finely foiled 34.0L :: great amigo @colbyplus sat off to the side and behind me in the office designing this one from an old faithful fX… :: giving his input, “let’s pull the nose in a bit, can we thin out the front end nose foil and add a touch of curve in the last bit, oh yea and can we make it super foiled and refined off the tail, and keep a tiny bit of a squared up rail to it…. and maybe a bit of vee out the tail right off where my back foot goes! “ | … and so it went, with many subtle adjustments and dialing it all in til we were both satisfied with all the curves and transitions |
