Source Surfboards is Nick Palandrani's Santa Cruz label. In his first-person workshop account, Palandrani describes a solo shaping operation, with glassing entrusted to the Santa Cruz Board Builders Guild, including Doug Fletcher and Dave Aronovici. He traces his entry into board building to a Cabrillo College photography assignment that brought him into the Arrow factory, then describes learning from Wil Jobson and Doug Haut. His site dates an authenticity certificate to 2012, intended to identify boards hand-shaped and built in Santa Cruz. Photographer Ryan Struck profiled the workshop in 2015, describing Palandrani discussing a board with its rider.
