Sauritch Surfboards

Greg Sauritch is a San Diego-based surfboard shaper who began hand-crafting custom surfboards in 1965, initially from necessity when he couldn't afford to buy one himself. From the 1970s onward, he shaped boards from Cardiff and later Encinitas, California, building a prolific career spanning over 40,000 boards including shortboards, longboards, fish shapes, and big wave guns. He worked briefly for Rusty Preisendorfer in the mid-1980s shaping for professional circuit riders, and has shaped boards for recognized surfers including Kalani Robb and Rob Machado.
