History
Rob Machado Surfboards is the design and shaping line of professional surfer Rob Machado, a San Diego–based rider ranked #2 in the world in 1995 and winner of the Pipeline Masters (2000) and U.S. Open of Surfing (1995). Working through Firewire, his boards combine epoxy and Helium technology construction with hand-shaped designs emphasizing functional rocker, speed in flat sections, and stability in the pocket. Each board is personally touched by Machado before shipment.
