Osprey Surfboards is a San Diego-based custom board manufacturer founded by Dane Perlee, a shaper trained under legendary Bob Pearson at Pearson Arrow Surfboards in Santa Cruz. The brand is known for meticulously handshapes longboards and shortboards, particularly for innovative designs that combine 1960s styling with modern performance—such as the "Speed Demon"—emphasizing powerful acceleration and trim alongside noseriding ability. Perlee is both shaper and professional surfer, and continues to hand-shape each board individually.
