History
NSP Surfboards was founded in 2001 by Bruce "Buzz" Hansen on Maui with a mission to create affordable, durable recreational surfboards accessible to everyday surfers. The company pioneered non-sandwich epoxy construction technology—a technique others said was impossible—allowing boards to withstand harsh conditions and casual treatment. NSP expanded into standup paddle boards in 2007 and has since grown into a global manufacturer producing hundreds of thousands of boards and race-oriented SUP equipment used by international paddling champions.
