JHP Surfboards is a custom shaper brand founded by Javier Huarcaya-Pro, pioneering the combination of stringerless epoxy construction with concave deck technology designed for stability and paddling ease. Built exclusively with XTR closed-cell foam—a durable, waterproof alternative to traditional polyurethane—JHP boards are hand-shaped and sold primarily through direct order. The brand began in California in 1991 and has since expanded operations to Peru.
