History
Full & Cas is a surfboard maker in Maliaño, Cantabria, Spain. Its company history begins in 1985, when brothers Hugo López-Asiaín and Gabi made windsurf boards as a hobby in Madrid, adding surfboards that same year. The timeline distinguishes Hugo's move into full-time surf and skate production in Santander in 1988 from Gabi's advertising work. It traces a larger workshop in 1990 and the move to Maliaño in 2000, followed by CNC preshaping in 2001–02 and machinery development with engineer Massimo Morini in 2007. The company also records a factory fire on 20 November 2013 and the restart of production seven months later. In a published interview, Hugo describes custom-board decisions around the surfer's size, weight, style and waves.
