DK Surfboards, based in Oceanside, California, produces custom high-performance shortboards and alternative designs shaped by DJ Kane, who brings over 20 years of shaping experience. Kane previously spent 12+ years as head shaper for Jon Pyzel, building boards for world-class surfers. The company emphasizes precision craftsmanship, blending traditional polyurethane and polyester construction with modern materials like epoxy, carbon fiber, and flax cloth, and recently expanded with Harborside Glassing (co-founded 2016), a 4,800-square-foot factory producing over 7,000 boards annually.
