About
In 1981, while the rest of the surf world was caught up in the shortboard thruster revolution, Ben Aipa flipped the script. He brought the longboard back, but not as you knew it. He engineered a new kind of weapon, the Modern Longboard, a high-performance tanker that moved like a shortboard and changed the way people thought about riding longboards forever.
In 1982 he doubled down and spun the idea into something even more disruptive. The MINI-TANK. A compact version of the Modern Longboard, from 5'10" to 7'6", designed to pack longboard flow into a more aggressive, agile frame.
The MINI-TANK wasn't just ahead of the curve. It was the curve. A true hybrid fun board before those categories even had a name. Full outline for paddle power and trim, extra foam under the chest to keep your wave count high, and the rail-to-rail response of a high-performance shortboard, so you can lay it on rail and crack the lip when it counts.
Quad for speed. Thruster for familiar control. Single fin for style. Twin plus trailer for freedom. Run the whole gambit.
This board is for surfers who want to break the rules. (You know da rules. lol.)
