The tail narrows more toward the end compared to the Classic Twin, making the board more responsive and agile when initiating and completing turns. While the Classic Twin follows a more authentic 1970s-inspired design, the Curvalicious can be seen as a modern take on a traditional twin-fin fish — blending classic elements with refinements that enhance performance and versatility. Our retro fish models are designed for predominantly full or weaker waves, delivering a clean, down-the-line style of surfing with plenty of drive and speed between maneuvers (a characteristic of fish boards with keel fins), while still maintaining good agility through turns. We recommend riding them 3 to 5 inches shorter than your everyday shortboard. This model features a fuller outline with the widepoint slightly above center, providing excellent stability even in shorter sizes. Thanks to the wider outline, it also reduces the likelihood of catching the rail in soft waves, as the extra surface area helps the board maintain speed and float through the wave’s critical sections.
